It's not fair when God punishes us.

I don't think it's fair when God punishes us for the very same traits that he gave us.

If he gave me trait of being lazy, why punish me by holding me back and not allowing me to excel? If he gave me a trait of a bad temper, why punish me by making me lose my friends when I rage?

I'm not even going to mention how unfair it is that God punishes children by giving them cancer or heart defects or genetic disorders.

I think God should not punish people for having a positive trait, and then still failing, despite the trait. For example, God should punish intelligent people who fail school. Or he should punish beautiful people who can't find a spouse.

The easiest religion to believe.

I wouldn't call "agnosticism" a religion, but if you wanted to, it would definitely be an easy religion to follow.*

You wouldn't have to go to church. No doctrine. No reading or listening to sermons or silly requirements like confession, praying etc.

Ethics would be a matter of gut instinct. Do what you think is right and don't try to harm others.

You would never have to argue your beliefs because you've already acknowledged that these things are "unknown or unknowable". And thus you wouldn't have the close-mindedness of Christian or atheist.

On the other hand, you're open to both possibilities - the God exists and that he doesn't. The whole idea isn't really relevant to your worldview.

I like things that are easy and simple. I think I'm going to be an agnostic.

* I'd say the Bahá'í Faith would be pretty easy to follow as well. It stresses the "spiritual unity of all humankind" and builds its tenants from Abraham, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad. A potporri of spiritual beliefs.

I think it would be cool to have an enemy.

I've always wanted an enemy. Someone dedicating his or her life to my demise. That would be so cool. To think, my life concerns someone so much that they're willing to put untold amount of time and effort into destroying me!

To have an enemy I would think you'd have to be an important, powerful person. I'm just not that important nor am I particularly powerful. Even if some other unimportant, un-powerful person decided to make me his or her enemy, I doubt it would last long.

There simply would not be enough emotion or motivation for us to be enemies.

Powerful people have enemies. Powerful organizations have enemies. And powerful concepts have opposites (enemies). I'm thinking good vs. evil or democracy vs. communism; or Bin Laden vs. the President; God vs. Satan.

By the way, you have to give Satan some credit for openly saying that God is his enemy! You can't have a more powerful enemy than God! And why would God tolerate Satan as an enemy? Shouldn't he just smite them with the snap of a finger?

God must want Satan as an enemy - similar to how I kind of want an enemy. It's an ego boost, I guess.
